1. Information We Collect
Personal Information
- Account information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data (only when explicitly permitted)
- Calendar and scheduling data
- Financial transaction records
- Communication between co-parents
- AI-assistant prompts, conversation history, and relevant schedule context you choose to submit
Automatically Collected Information
- Device information
- Log data
- Usage and diagnostic events
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide co-parenting coordination services
- Facilitate secure communication between co-parents
- Manage custody schedules and financial arrangements
- Send important notifications about schedule changes
- Provide requested AI-assistant responses and schedule suggestions
- Comply with legal obligations (court orders)
3. Data Security
- Network traffic is protected in transit using TLS
- We use security-focused engineering reviews, access controls, and audit logging
- Access to data is strictly controlled and logged
- Sensitive message content uses application-level AES-256 encryption on the server
- Message text in a reciprocal, accepted co-parent conversation is decrypted on the server and submitted to our configured tone-analysis provider before delivery; lawyer, teen-family, court, and other conversations are excluded from automated tone analysis
4. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Data is only shared:
- Between linked co-parents (with your explicit consent)
- With lawyers or professionals you explicitly authorize
- With court officials when legally authorized
- With service providers under strict confidentiality agreements
- When required by law
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data at any time
- Request deletion or anonymization of eligible data, subject to shared-record, legal-hold, and other legal retention requirements
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt-out of non-essential communications
- Update or correct your information
6. Age Eligibility and Managed Child Accounts
- CoHarmony accounts are for people 13 and older. The account holder—not the inviting co-parent—must accept the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- A co-parent may stage a managed child invitation while the co-parent connection is pending. The staged request remains private from the pending recipient and does not grant access to child or family data
- A managed child invitation initially creates a restricted, expiring setup record. The email recipient must prove control of the invited mailbox, accept the current legal documents, establish their own password when required, and explicitly accept the family invitation before the child account can access family features
- For a managed child account we process the invited email address, family links, legal-acceptance evidence, and the messages, schedule access, and other activity described in this policy
- A recipient may decline the invitation, which removes the unused setup account and releases the email address. A parent or guardian should contact privacy@co-harmony.com about an unauthorized invitation or child account
7. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data retained as long as account is active
- Deleted accounts: Sign-in access and personal profile data are removed or anonymized; shared messages, charges, and custody schedules remain available to other participants
- Legal requirements: Some data is preserved longer when required by law or an active legal hold
8. Location Data
- Location records are saved only when you or your device submit them through a location or custody-transfer feature
- Used to display maps, document custody transfers and related events, provide location history, and generate exports you request or authorize
- Location records may be shared with a linked co-parent as part of shared custody records and with lawyers or professionals you explicitly authorize
- You can revoke location permissions at any time
9. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for:
- Cloud hosting, database, and file storage
- Email, SMS, and push-notification delivery
- Sign-in providers you choose to use
- Automated tone analysis for reciprocal, accepted co-parent conversations only
- AI-assistant response generation when you choose to use that feature
- App-store subscription processing
These services have their own privacy policies.
10. International Data Transfers
Data is stored on secure servers in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
